Your Preferred Partner in Conflict Management
We believe in a curated approach when developing the talent pool within our panel; only a limited number of mediators are invited each year, and these candidates undergo an accredited training and a series of comprehensive assessments before they are admitted. This is to ensure that the AMC panel comprises of professionals from diverse backgrounds, experiences and language capabilities who are able to meet the high demands of the parties involved in a conflict.
Through our Alliance partners and affiliates, parties looking to explore mediation with AMC will have access to professional mediators in any of our partner centres across four continents. Mediations can be conducted live or virtually on our designated platforms, or via a hybrid mechanism which is a combination of both live and virtual platforms, depending on the needs of the parties.
We are constantly working on expanding our network of dispute resolution affiliates to ensure continued growth, innovation and benchmarking of standards.
AMC’s Professional Mediator Accreditation Course (“PMA”) is recognized globally and consists of intensive 40 hour classroom and simulation trainings followed by a series of assessments conducted externally. AMC is also a member of a global Alliance on Mediation Standards which promotes cross-recognition of its accreditation among centres and institutions spanning four continents. (Read up on our Alliance here.)

AMC is certified to be compliant with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems since 2022. This means that our ability to consistently provide services has been assessed and benchmarked against independent global quality standards.
The ISO 9001 quality management system remains the world’s best-known management standard for companies and organizations of any size and it is premised on principles which include a strong customer focus, the motivation and engagement of top management, the process approach and an emphasis on continual improvement. These are AMC’s mission objectives and we are proud to hold ourselves accountable to our objectives through an independent global standard.
At AMC, we believe in being nimble and responsive when it comes to crafting solutions for clients who entrust us with their matters. In a rapidly changing landscape that is the post-pandemic world, this means investing in solutions to problems not previously encountered before.
To meet those objectives, we have deliberately maintained a small but agile presence in Asia, choosing to concentrate our efforts and resources on providing bespoke services for every individual matter.
To us at AMC, every matter and every client is unique and deserves special management. That means if you have a special language preference, or require a mediator with experience in a particular industry, or would like to have more than one mediator from one country to preside over your session, we are able to accommodate your requests with our existing resources and technology.
We aim to be your premier boutique conflict management services and training provider through the three Cs approach:
We want to give our best and to do so, we recognize that there are some matters which are better served by other organizations and we may refer these cases to such bodies, many of whom we continue to maintain good relationships. In the same way, we curate the mediators on our panel for diversity, professional excellence and specific industry experience, so that the parties may have access to the best mediator for their matter.
We craft solutions to adapt to your unique requirements whatever they may be. At AMC, every part of the dispute resolution process can be designed to your specifications, from the venue to the languages used, to the food served, technology adjustments, travel and accommodation arrangements and any other special conditions you may require. We in AMC believe that providing these ancillary services as required is part of our mission to keep the parties and their needs in the forefront of our priorities.
Since its inception, AMC has developed a close network of affiliated and partner centres across multiple jurisdictions. Our network of partners allows AMC to benefit from a cross-fertilization of ideas and resources, while still maintaining our “boutique chamber” identity. Our goal is always to have a large presence within a small, concentrated footprint; our collaborative approach and good relationships in an ever-growing network enables us to enjoy the benefits of being an agile service provider within the framework and support of a large network.

At AMC, we continuously strive to find ways to give back to our community and to improve access to justice through the use of mediation. As such, AMC and its mediators contribute up to 100 hours annually to pro bono activities which include managing conflicts in rural or frontier settings and volunteering to teach conflict management techniques at an age-appropriate level for disadvantaged communities.
One of our initiatives is the Mobile Mediation Project where we partner with CJ Liew & Co and on occasion the local judicial authorities to improve access to justice for rural or disadvantaged communities living in the interior zones of Sabah.
These communities often lack the means to resolve their disputes either due to the cost of doing so, a lack of awareness, or the barriers presented by poor infrastructure and connectivity. In order to overcome these factors, the Mobile Mediation Project seeks to bring the instruments and expertise for dispute resolution to the doorstep of these communities.
Our Mobile Mediation Unit, which is an arm of the Mobile Mediation Project, brings accredited mediators into designated areas for the purpose of facilitating resolution of these disputes. All sessions can be conducted in the local language as required and any settlement agreements arising from these sessions may be recorded and stamped as consent judgments by the courts if they are done in that specific context.
